The best kind of grumpy old man is a dog grumpy old man. When this fab Baltimore couple reached out about getting some family photos done of them and their senior dog Gus, I was absolutely here for it! This pup had so many feelings–mainly about sticks and not wanting to go back to the house–and they came across in his amazingly expressive face so well. What a fun afternoon session in the city!
If you scroll to the last photo you’ll find one of the weirder art things I’ve done in a while. Not gonna lie this wasn’t actually 100% intentional. Since I still can’t do in-camera double exposures my Sony cameras I’m working on integrating them back into my art with Photoshop. I had an idea of putting Gus’s face in with a silhouette of the couple, but when I started the process and ended up with Gus being a larger than life creature taking over the sky instead…well of course I had to keep that.
