Goth Handfasting in the Ruins of a Castle

One of the best things about my job is the absolutely incredible, fantastic, ridiculous, gorgeous, wonderful things I get to do. This nontraditional wedding was absolutely one of those things.

I first met the bride years ago when she was in the wedding party for a Virginia wedding I photographed. When she got engaged 6 years later I was stoked that we could make everything align for me to come out to Sweden to photograph her stunning goth wedding in the ruins of a castle. From the wedding couple attire to the table decorations to the DJs to the favors, everything about this wedding was thought out and crafted with intention and delight. And the dancing–oh the dancing. Karkasaurus brought the energy and the chaos to the castle cellar room dance floor, DJing from under a custom made wooden arch. It was such a perfect end to a perfect event celebrating some of the kindest, most loving, most fantastically aesthetic people I’ve ever met, and I’m so excited to share a few of my favorite photos from the day.
