Have you ever shown up to a wedding and had one of the groomsmen stop you to say, “OK so I have a Jason Voorhees cosplay and I can put the whole thing on over my suit in two minutes so if you ever want me to be creepy and lurking in the back of any photos just let me know. And the couple is totally down,”? For all the goth, burner, nontraditional, cosplay, renn faire, circus, artist weddings I’ve photographed, I have to admit this was a first. This Friday the 13th wedding, which took place on Friday, October 13, 2023 and kept a Halloween theme throughout all the planning and details, was such a gorgeous event full of personality and quirk. Dare I say it was creepy and kooky, mysterious and spooky? Even the guests came dressed to the nines. And of course The Cloisters Castle was the perfect Baltimore wedding venue for the day.
